Nationwide Occupational Health Services

We offer a range of services by means of onsite, telephone and video consultations. Our general turnaround time for management referral reports and new starter assessments can be as little as a few hours and often the same day.

We offer reliable, detailed and quick advice to employers trying to manage performance issues relating to ill health, long term sickness absence and frequent short term sickness absence within the workplace. We help employers navigate some of the Equality Act legislation by offering a medical opinion to facilitate them making their own decision regarding disability in law.

We also help companies in all sectors comply with Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) surveillance in all tiers and we carry out Tier 4 assessments onsite nationwide.

We can help you with…

Management Referrals

We offer remote and on-site assessments which involve the provision of a comprehensive report with a clear opinion on medical fitness and adjustments where required.

Our availability and turnaround times are appreciated and respected by our clients and patients alike.

HAVS surveillance

Employees who work with hand tools which transmit vibration are legally obliged to perform risk assessments on new employees and current employees regularly through the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations.

If any abnormalities are identified during screening assessments or reported by employees through annual questionnaires, PEMS Health offer a Tier 4 service to give a diagnostic opinion on whether symptoms are related to workplace activity or not.

We can also advise and carry out HAVS surveillance.

Post Offer Fitness for Role assessments

In line with Section 60 of the Equality Act, once employees have successfully completed a job application process, we can offer advice on any adjustments that need to be considered under the duty of care to make adjustments under the Act. This is done through a confidential medical questionnaire completed online, which goes directly to us and an opinion of fitness for role/adjustments is offered accordingly thereafter.
