9. Week 4 stats

The results are in! Fourth week:

Weight: 89.90 kg (lost 0 kg on last week)

BMI: 24.9 (normal)

Body fat: 17.8% (reduced)

Visceral Fat: 7.5 (normal)

BP: 121/87 (a slight rise again)

Waist Circumference: 95.5cm (normal)

Neck circumference: 42cm (1cm less)

Resting Pulse: 52 (was 60)

OK…so no weight loss this week and my BP has decided to go a little AWOL on me again. I’m a little surprised given that my physical activity and healthy eating has remained positive.

The only thing I can think of is three restaurant meals (albeit ‘healthy’) in the last four days (birthdays and parties!).

Did you know that over 70% of our total salt intake occurs when it is added to food outside our home (tinned food, supermarket packets and restaurants). I wonder if the restaurant salt additions over the last four days have made a difference. I’ll take my BP in three days and post it later this week to confirm that theory (yes, it can come down that quickly). I’ll also talk more about salt (or as the Americans prefer to call it, sodium.

On the lack of weight loss this week…although i’m seemingly eating healthy food and exercising, my calorie intake must be too high (probably the excessive nuts and seeds?!). I’ll tackle that in a blog soon too.
