13. Week 6 stats

The results are in:

Weight: 88.60 kg

BMI: 24.5 (normal)

Body fat: 17.3% (normal)

Visceral Fat: 7 (normal)

BP: 121/85 (stable but could be a better I think)

Waist Circumference: 95cm (normal)

Neck circumference: 42cm (same)

Resting Pulse: 52

So things are going in the right direction! It seems much slower than previous times I’ve tried to reduce my weight but I’m hoping that the steady change caused by radical (but simple) lifestyle changes will win through long term.

I’m continuing to go to bed early and wake early and it’s been fine. I’m walking at around 6.40am consistently most mornings and there have been benefits on my blood pressure and resting heart rate. My sleep quality seems pretty good also.

I’m still trying to reduce my total calorie intake (I’m not counting now) and things are slowly moving towards my goal of around 83kg. Like the hare and the tortoise, slow and steady wins the race! I’m hoping for some further improvements in my BP also.

Later this week, I’ll be looking at our “microbiome” and how the bacteria in our gut control us more than you might think!
